Write Down the Assumption Behind the Refinance Number
By Don McClain | Founder & Principal, Medro Advisors
By Don McClain | Founder & Principal, Medro Advisors. A useful capital discussion makes assumptions visible. Beside each refinance estimate, record its source, date, conditions and the person responsible for confirming it. Separate a quoted amount from proceeds available after closing requirements. If the payoff, valuation or timing changes, identify which conclusion must be revisited rather than repeating the original number. My new cash-gap analysis offers a practical starting point for that review. This is educational commentary, not a financing quote.
